Macaulay Culkin Has Rubbished Reports That He is Addicted to Heroin

A rep for the former child star claims that the rumours are "without merit" and "ridiculously fictitious."

Last night, Macaulay Culkin hit back at reports that he has only six months to live and insisted that despite all the rumours, he is not addicted to heroin.

The Irish Daily Star reports that in recent months, there have been rumours circulating that the former child star was addicted to a deadly mixture of heroin and oxycodone, a strong painkiller.

While we remember him as the happy, plucky kid from the Home Alone movies, recent pictures of Culkin show him looking frail and gaunt – adding fuel to the rumours that the star is suffering from some kind of addiction.

It is believed that Macaulay’s friends are desperately worried about him and have fears for his life. They claim that his alleged addiction is so bad that it will eventually kill him.

However, a rep for Macaulay spoke to reporters last night and completely rubbished the claims.

“The reports claiming Culkin is addicted to heroin and assorted hallucinogenics is not only categorically without merit, but it is also impossibly and ridiculously fictitious,” said his rep.

The National Enquirer reported yesterday that Macaulay had turned his New York apartment into a private drug den and that he regularly spends up to $6,000 (€4,872) every single month on pills and heroin. Friends, who spoke to the publication, also said that Culkin nearly overdosed recently and claimed that he needs some “serious help.”

Some insiders also told the National Enquirer that Macaulay’s life spiralled out of control when he ended his eight-year relationship with Mila Kunis last year.

“He is surely dying…I have witnessed his drug-taking, which has escalated over the past year and a half to the point where he needs serious help,” said a friend.
