The singer is due to perform on The X Factor tonight.
Louis Tomlinson’s mother Johannah Deakin sadly passed away on Wednesday following a battle with Leukaemia.
Since the tragic news emerged fans and friends of Louis have been showing their support on social media.
Band-mates Niall and Liam and Zayn sent him messages on Twitter with their condolences as did Simon Cowell.

Louis is performing his solo single Hold On on the X Factor final tonight.
In his first public comment since his mother’s death Louis sent a tweet thanking people for their support.

Johanna was 42 and has seven children, Louis, Lottie, 18, Felicite, 16, twins Daisy and Phoebe, both 12, and twins Ernest and Doris, aged two.
