Lisa McHugh shares update after ‘toughest and most heartbreaking’ few days in hospital

Lisa McHugh has confirmed her daughter was hospitalised with RSV

The mum has always feared RSV and did everything she could to ensure her son Milo didn't contract it.

However, the mum's little girl Hallie was sadly hospitalised with RSV which was incredibly difficult for her mum.

Writing about the harrowing incident, the mum said: "I was very conscious of the environment Milo was ever in or around, but also as a first-time mum, you sometimes can’t help but have the feeling that you’re overreacting or being over-paranoid."

"But sometimes no matter how hard you try, it unfortunately just happens and that’s the case for poor Hallie.

"She’s had the toughest and most heartbreaking few days in hospital. I can’t describe how horrendous it has been to watch her so weak & in so much pain and being unable to take that pain away," she said.

Her little girl is still very sick in hospital but she's getting incredible care from the medical staff at SWAH.

"We just hope she starts to get some relief and turns a corner soon," she added.

Lisa wanted to raise awareness for World Prematurity Day as well as RSV.

She also wants to remind mums that it is okay to tell people who are sick to stay away from their children, especially babies.

"I can safely say I will not be afraid to speak up and protect my babies in the future if we’re ever in the position instead of protecting someone else’s feelings.

"You have every right to speak up to protect your baby from illness," she stressed.

"Do whatever you can because I really wouldn’t wish it on any baby, child, or parent to go through after how rough the last few days have been," she added.

"They can’t speak up for or protect themselves, it’s our job as their parents to do it for them."

She asked her followers to keep her little angel in their prayers.
