Liam Payne will reportedly feature in a new Netflix talent competition series that is due to air soon.
Payne appeared as a guest judge on the show alongside Destiny’s Child singer, Kelly Rowland, in the episode that will air just months after his passing.
The show is called Building The Band and it brings together talented singers to form bands – but there’s a catch; they will be paired together without having seen each other before.
The show was announced back in September, before Liam’s death at just 31 years of age on October 16th following a fall from a third story balcony in Buenos Aires.
It has been confirmed that Nicole Scherzinger will take on the role of judge and mentor while Payne and Rowland appear as guest judges in the show.
The concept of the show has been compared to Love Is Blind with contestants being kept in separate booths throughout the audition stages.
While an exact date for its release has yet to be determined, the streaming giant said it will be among a slate of other new releases in 2025.
Building The Band was one of the last projects the former One Direction star worked on, along with the song Do No Wrong with Sam Pounds.
Pounds opted to to delay the release of Do No Wrong, and said he wanted Payne’s “family to mourn in peace and in prayer”.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office in Argentina is still investigating the circumstances surrounding Payne’s death.
Five people have been charged over his death, including the singer’s friend Roger Nores, the hotel’s manager, and a receptionist.
Two others, a hotel employee and a waiter, have been charged with supplying cocaine, according to Argentina’s National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office.
