Lauren Goodger under fire for buying young niece ‘ridiculous’ gift

Christmas is known as a time we all splurge a bit, specially when it comes to presents for our nearest and dearest. The 'feck it, it's Christmas' attitude can take over. This is a logic that Lauren Goodger seems to also go by. The Only Way is Essex star posted a video to Instagram which shows her niece opening a present Lauren bought her. The gift which is causing a stir? a designer handbag. The neatly wrapped bag was by Fendi and costs around €200. People who follow Lauren on Twitter expressed their disapproval stating that she is spoiling the young girl who does not need a designer bag at her age.

"You've put it out there so I'm going to say that at her age that little girl should be given toys not 'designer''. One user said while others shared the sentiments: "Buying a CHILD a Designer Bag!? RIDICULOUS! Looks like you only did it to show off though? Anyone who supports giving a little girl a designer bag, with all its connotations, should consider their own values and moral compass."

Others pointed out that if Lauren has the money for the bag the it's not causing any harm. We agree in a sense, if Lauren can afford the bag it is no harm for her to purchase a nice present and the child is 14 not 4. But we understand why people think it's a little unnecessary. Probably not worth getting as annoyed as they did however.
