Kim Kardashian’s daughter is following in her footsteps already.
North West is officially a cover girl as she graced the front page of Vice Media’s i-D magazine at just 10 years of age.
The daughter of Kim and her ex-husband Kanye West, talked about her dad’s music, her love of singing and her dream future career revealing she’d like to focus on creating art – and even take over her parent’s brands.
“I like singing,” and “performing is my favourite,” she explained adding that the urge comes “mostly from me… and then a little bit of my dad.”
Asked what she wants to be when she grows up, the reality star revealed: “A basketball player, a rapper, um… Well, when I was seven, I wanted to be a boxer. But now I don’t want to be a boxer. I’m going to do art on the side.”
“When I’m, like, 13, I want to walk dogs, to make money to buy art supplies, because everything around here is so expensive.”
“So a rapper, a basketball player, and I’m going to make artwork that I sell. Also, one day I want to own Yeezy and SKIMS, and I want to be a business owner.”
Basketball is evidently at the heart of the 10-year-old’s life, as she described it as “not a hobby, but a ‘lifestyle’”.
Gushing that “I just love basketball so much,” adding that her most treasured memory is “When I first tried basketball because I was so bad. So I know those memories and I’m like: “Ooh, now I’m so good,” I got so much better.'”
It’s clear the 10-year-old has high self-esteem as when asked to sum up her existence the three words she chose were “Blessed, awesome and cool”, describing herself as “The best ever”.
No doubt this is just the first of many magazine covers for North!
