Kelly Clarkson Spoke Out About Kesha’s Alleged Abuser Dr. Luke

Ellen Tannam

Kelly Clarkson has made some damning statements against music producer, and Kesha’s alleged abuser Dr. Luke in an interview on Australian radio station KIISFM.

Clarkson had collaborated with the producer in 2004 on Since U Been Gone and again in 2009 on My Life Would Suck Without You.

She hinted that she felt a lot of pressure to work with the producer, saying her career was threatened unless she agreed to work with him: “The last time I worked with him I only worked with him because literally I got blackmailed by my label. It was a really hard time for me. They were like, ‘We will not put your album out if you don’t do this’.”

She described Dr, Luke (real name Lukas Gottwald) as ‘demeaning’.

“Obviously he’s a talented dude but he’s lied a lot. Musically it’s been really hard for me because he will just lie to people and it makes the artist look bad.”

Dr. Luke has repeatedly denied the accusations made against him against him by Kesha.
