Whether we like it or not, we are about to see a lot more of the controversial columnist Katie Hopkins.
The woman who has been named ‘Britain’s Most Hated Woman’ has landed her own chat show on TLC called If Katie Hopkins Ruled The World.
The debate show will see Katie and a celebrity panel chat about issues such as sex, gender, weight and class and is set to air on the station in August.
Katie has warned “This could get messy.”
The columnist-turned-reality star was recently denounced by a UN chief for describing migrants as “cockroaches” and suggesting gunships should be used to prevent migrants crossing the Mediterranean.
However, TLC bosses are confident that the 40-year-old will get people talking.
Sarah Thornton, TLC vice-president stated: “Love her or loathe her, everyone has an opinion on Katie Hopkins.
“Her points of view get us all talking. I’m looking forward to working with Katie, Big Minded and Mentorn Media on what will no doubt be a bold and lively debate where Katie’s claims can finally be challenged in a comedic, cheeky and brilliantly fun format.”
The columnist starred in Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year.
However, it seems the show has some hurdles to jump before it airs in August as Katie took to Twitter to vent.
The list of things we can’t say is greater than the things we can. The fightback begins on my new show for @tlc_uk pic.twitter.com/ELQe5BD65y
