They may be the hottest new stars in Hollywood thanks to the Fifty Shades success, but Jamie Dornan has denied reports that he and co-star Dakota Johnson had a falling out during filming.
Following rumours that the pair lacked chemistry on set, with reports that the stars were even forced to reshoot scenes for the movie, the pair have been forced to deny that they were feuding and uncomfortable around one another.
Speaking to E! News, Jamie blamed media for the story, saying it was fabricated for publicity:
“Look, people are going to say that because it’s a story and people like to create a little bit of hype leading up to the film.
“It’s an obvious story to come up with, you know, if I was into the world of coming up with fake stories I’d maybe start to do that on a blog… No, I wouldn’t, I would never become that person, but I understand it. It creates a bit of…whatever.”
It seems the only discomfort between the co-stars was when Jamie would apologise to his leading lady before some of their more difficult sex scenes.
Talking to The Observer, Jamie said:
“If I was about to be doing something particularly heinous to Dakota, I would apologise in advance and say, ‘I’m probably not going to derive a huge amount of pleasure out of this. I want you to know that.'”
“I got through with a lot of apologies, you have to keep the intensity there, but maintain professionalism. At the end of the day, we’re all human beings and it can be uncomfortable to film things like that, so I just tried to make light of it.”
