Jack Fincham mistaken for Joey Essex after he drives his car into a ditch

Love Island 2018 winner, Jack Fincham was mistaken for Joey Essex when he crashed his car during the week.

The star was racing to the airport when he drove his €30,000 Volkswagen Golf into a ditch near Kent while trying to swerve another car. Onlookers who spotted the near-collision rushed to help Jack, with one of them mistaking him for TOWIE's Joey Essex in the process. Speaking to The Sun, the woman who helped Jack said:

"Hilariously my son thought he was Joey Essex, but he just joked 'I wish' and explained who he was.

"He was really lovely and luckily wasn't injured – but I don't think his car was in a great shape, it was leaking all sorts."

Regardless of the leak, Jack reportedly drove the car away and later laughed at the fact his rescuers thought he was Joey Essex. Too funny. Jack also noted that he's not injured and feeling fine. Jack split from fellow Love Island winner, Dani Dyer in April. The pair who won the series had just moved in together in London but quickly realised they were better off apart. Dani is now back dating her former boyfriend Sammy Kimmence. The pair are regularly spotted at events and on holidays together. Jack, on the otherhand  is still single after an attempt to find love on E4's Celebs Go Dating. The star has however been linked to Chloe Ferry.
