Irish actor Jack Reynor has scooped the World Cinema Special Jury Prize for Acting at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival.
Reynor was commended for his role in Gerard Barrett’s film Glassland. The film, due for release in Ireland on April 17th, tells the story of a young man struggling to cope with his mother’s alcohol addiction. Co-starring Toni Collette, the film has been met with rave reviews from film critics at the prestigious festival.

The star was congratulated by his mum on Twitter, who tweeted:

Jack, who is engaged to Irish model Madeline Mulqueen, has starred in the most recent Transformers film, as well as previously taking the lead role in Irish hit What Richard Did.
