Adele’s comeback may have broken a rake of records, but it seems not everyone is impressed.
The singer’s album, 25, was the first album ever to sell over one million copies in two consecutive weeks, but Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher is just not that into it, it seems.
When MusicFeeds asked him about his reputation for spouting controversial opinions about other artists, he didn’t hold back.
He answered: “If someone wants to know what I think of Adele, I’ll f***ing tell them.
“I just don’t see what all the fuss is about. I don’t like her music. I think it’s music for f***ing grannies.
“If I get asked a question on anything, I give a straight answer.
“Not because I have any sort of agenda or because I’m trying to whip up any kind of hysteria.”
It seems it’s not the first time the musician has been asked about Adele.
He continued: “It is interesting that no-one ever talks about my love of U2 and Coldplay, but there you go. Lately, the one I’ve been asked about is Adele.”
And it’s not just Adele that was the victim of his wrath.
He added that she is just one artist in a “sea of cheese” and that “music has nosedived into f***ing blandness – a sea of cheese.”
Wow, say what you really feel, Noel.
