“I had hoped to write many more chapters here,” the presenter has said.

Eoghan McDermott has issued an update on social media this week regarding the selling of his house.

Back in December, the RTÉ 2fm presenter revealed that he sold the home, despite having “hoped to write many more chapters” there.

At the time, he wrote on Instagram: “This was a happy home. This house was my first ever home and I’ll be forever grateful for all the beautiful memories it has given me, from now til the day I breathe my last breath.

“There was laughter, love, fun, friends, family, happiness, sadness and everything in between. Those are all moments to cherish and the simplicity and safety it provided was a true gift.

“There was heart and soul poured into making it somewhere warm and welcoming. I had hoped to write many more chapters here, but someone else gets to start their own book now. I hope they’ll write a good one. It was made with love and left with gratitude. Slan abhaile.”

As reported by Extra.ie, in an update this week on his Instagram story, McDermott said that “he had to sell a lot things” recently.

He also shared an image of various household items in a storage locker with the caption: “Life is in a little storage box just now.”

However, he also stated that he gifted a “beautiful table” from his former house to his mother and father for their “new forever home”, adding: “It lives on”.

McDermott recently revealed that he has been suffering from lung issues since he started vaping.

He said that during a run he started to cough up blood.

Alongside a photo of his bloody hand, he stated that he used to be healthy before he started using e-cigarettes.
