It looks like actor Kelvin Fletcher is considerably luckier in love than his onscreen alter ego.
Fletcher, who plays Andy Sudgen in ITV soap Emmerdale, has become engaged to his girlfriend of eight years Liz Marsland.
The 30-year-old popped the question over the weekend, while the couple enjoyed a romantic break in Wales.
Marsland broke the news via Instagram, posting a beachfront selfie and showing off a new sparkler on her ring finger.
