Eddie Redmayne and wife Hannah welcome their first child

Great news for the couple.  Actor Eddie Redmayne, and his wife Hannah, have become parents for the first time. They welcomed their daughter into the world last week. According to The Daily Mail, a representative confirmed the news that little Iris Mary Redmayne was born on Wednesday. They reportedly waited until the baby was born to find out if it was a girl or a boy. Eddie was quoted saying:

"It’s gonna be a surprise. I was like, "Maybe we should find out" (and) my wife’s like, "We’re not finding out." She wears the trousers. It's one of the great surprises that still exists in the world."

They had been friends since they were teenagers, having met when they were in school. Eddie attended Eton College, while Hannah went to a nearby girls' school. But it wasn't until 2012 when they began dating. The couple then married in December 2014 and announced the news that they were expecting in January of this year.
