Ed Sheeran Proves That He Has a Heart of Gold by Helping Out Childhood Friend

We knew Ed Sheeran was pretty sound but this gesture just goes to show that he really does have a heart of gold. It seems the singer helped out one of his childhood friends when she was struggling financially. Well, actually she helped him to pen one of his most successful songs ever. Amy Wadge apparently helped Ed write Thinking Out Loud and has since gone on to work with the likes of X Factor winner Ben Haenow and former Spice Girl Geri Horner. Ed hosted this year's MTV EMAs. According to The Mirror, Ed revealed: “She was going through financial troubles about a year ago. “She drove to my house – my album was nearly done – and she asked if I could put a song from when I was 17 on the deluxe album, so she could get a little bit of money and pay the mortgage and bills and stuff.
