EastEnders Star Tameka Empson Snubs Inside Soap Awards

EastEnders star Tameka Empson reportedly snubbed the Inside Soap Awards due to a race row surrounding the venue in which it was held. The actress, who was crowned Funniest Female for her portrayal of Kim Fox in the soap, decided not to head along to collect the award. The ceremony was held at London nightclub DSTRKT which was recently accused of refusing entry to women who were “too dark.” Tameka Empson as Kim Fox (image: BBC). A source told The Mirror: “Lots felt uncomfortable but felt a duty to say thank you to their fans, who voted for the winners. “It was a really tough decision. Tameka resolutely refused to go. Everyone fully accepts her decision.” Tameka also tweeted about her dilemma as to whether to attend the event or not.
