Demi Lovato Stood Up to Cyber Bullies After They Targeted Her Half-Sister

Demi Lovato apparently hit back at the cyber bullies who targeted her half-sister, actress Madison De La Garza. The 13-year-old, who played Juanita Solis in Desperate Housewives, received online abuse after sharing a clip on Twitter but Demi wasn’t having any of it. Madison told Seventeen magazine: “Last year I got a ton of negative comments after I posted a Vine on Twitter where I was cooking with Demi. People made fun of me, saying I had a hunchback. “Demi freaked and direct-messaged people to yell at them, and she tweeted at her followers to stand up for me.” Demi and Madison are half-sisters (image: Instagram). She added: “Sometimes I wish she wouldn’t give people attention – I’ve learned not to – but when people hate on me, she can’t really hold back. She’s strong and she’s a free spirit, and that’s what I love about her.” While it is sometimes better to ignore bullies, we have to say we think we’d be in the same boat as Demi if anyone picked on our siblings!
