David Schwimmer remembers Matthew Perry as his ‘family’

‘Friends’ actor David Schwimmer has honoured Matthew Perry with an emotional tribute.

Like his fellow cast members, Schwimmer reflected on their time working together, as well as the friendship they developed throughout the 10 years of filming ‘Friends’.

Posting a photo of him and Matthew Perry in character, the actor said he will never forget the co-star who became his family.

“Thank you for ten incredible years of laughter and creativity.

“I will never forget your impeccable comic timing and delivery. You could take a straight line of dialogue and bend it to your will, resulting in something so entirely original and unexpectedly funny it still astonishes.”

Schwimmer said Perry had heart and remembered him as a “generous” person he created a family with.

“And you had heart. Which you were generous with, and shared with us, so we could create a family out of six strangers.

Alongside a photo of Chandler and Ross from a 1980s flashback scene, Schwimmer revealed it was one of his favourite moments.

“This photo is from one of my favorite moments with you. Now it makes me smile and grieve at the same time.

“I imagine you up there, somewhere, in the same white suit, hands in your pockets, looking around—“Could there BE any more clouds?”

Schwimmer’s tribute comes after Matt LeBlanc, Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, and Lisa Kudrow also shared moving tributes.

The cast also gathered at Matthew Perry’s private funeral service in Los Angeles earlier this month.
