Congratulations In Order For Ed Sheeran As He Receives Honorary Doctorate

Exciting news for Ed Sheeran this week, as he has received an honorary doctorate from University Campus Suffolk. The Photograph singer returned home to Framlingham to accept his honour for "outstanding contribution to music".

Our favourite flame-haired singer, who left school when he was sixteen, said he was "honoured" to receive the award: "I've had an amazing year with my world tour and this makes it even better. "Suffolk is very much where I call home and I'm always welcomed back and get so much support. Receiving this recognition is a real privilege." The singer also took to Twitter to express his amusement at the fact that he is now a doctor.

It's an exciting time for the 24-year-old, who's three sell-out Wembley gigs are set to hit the big screen later this week in his first feature film, Jumpers For Goalposts. Congratulations, Ed!
