Coleen Rooney has responded to major backlash

Coleen Rooney has spoken out after trolls criticised the mum for taking her two sons out of school for I’m A Celeb.

Coleen was hit with major backlash online after her two sons, Kit and Cass, featured on the ITV show.

Many viewers called her out for taking her sons, aged six and eight, out of school for the programme.

She has since responded to the online hate and said her sons did schoolwork during the trip.

She told MailOnline, “The little ones, it’s easier. They’ve brought work away with them.

“They [Kai and Klay] did say they weren’t going to school tomorrow because their mum was in the final,” she said.

“I don’t know what school’s going to say about that. They haven’t come all the way to Australia, so maybe they do deserve a day off,” she added.

The mum said she is going to focus on her family for the next weeks but has big plans for 2025.

She shared, “I want to enjoy Christmas, and then we start again in the new year, when, in January, I will sit down with my team and see what I’m going to do going forward.”

Experts believe Coleen will out-earn her husband Wayne Rooney following her major success on I’m A Celeb.

The mum came in second place on this year’s I’m A Celeb. She lost out to McFly frontman Danny Jones but said she was honoured to be part of this year’s show.

Coleen said it was incredible to make her children proud.

“My boys have been proud of their dad for so long, it’s my turn now,” she gushed.
