Cheryl is hoping to have another child in the future

Girls Aloud star Cheryl, 40, says she would like to give her son Bear a sibling

A source told Heat magazine that her son's birthday made her realise how quickly it all goes by:

"...It's really hitting home to Cheryl that he's no longer her baby, and is now a proper little boy who is growing more independent by the day."

However, the star knows that if she wanted to have another baby, it would have to be in the next year or so.

"It’s in the back of her mind that, once [the tour] is over this summer, she needs to make up her mind.

"She knows Bear would love a brother or sister, as he gets on so well with his cousins."

Cheryl shares her son Bear with her ex-boyfriend Liam Payne, 30.

After being together for almost three years, the couple sadly split after Bear's first birthday. They now co-parent.

Payne previously spoke about the arrangement on a podcast, saying "I get to take my son to school one or two times a week and it's the best thing. The relationship we have now as friends has only grown more.

"He is all she cares about and I couldn't ask for more. They live like three minutes from my house."

Cheryl has previously spoken on the idea of using a donor to conceive a child, saying:

"You can spend ages looking for the right man, waiting for the perfect time to get pregnant, then the right man might turn out to be the wrong man.

"There are definitely other routes I would consider.”
