Bruce Willis' daughter Rumer has appeared on Loose Women to give an update on her father's health following his dementia diagnosis.
The Die Hard star announced his retirement from acting in 2022 after being diagnosed with aphasia, a neurological disorder that affects communication abilities.
His condition has since progressed into frontotemporal dementia, a rare and progressive brain disorder impacting the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain.
Speaking on Loose Women via a video link on Monday, Rumer updated viewers on her father's health and spoke about the recent wildfires which ravaged LA.
She said: "He's doing great. I think, obviously as many people in California, the thing we're all kind of the most scared, dealing with is just fires and wanting to make sure everything is okay.
"My family, we're all so close, I think what's so beautiful is the way that we rally around each other, [it's] so lovely, because we really are a unit."
Rumer, who is known for her roles in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and 90210, also touched upon becoming a mother for the first time and how her parents - Bruce and Demi Moore - have been role models for her.
She said: "I think the thing I'm most grateful for is that even when they split up, they created such a beautiful foundation of prioritising my sisters and I, that I never felt like I had to choose or like, they never played against each other.
"We were a family, and we still are very much a family no matter what. And not only did I feel like that has set me up in my life to have such a beautiful foundation of my own family, but now, as I'm working through co-parenting as well, I feel deep gratitude for the example they've set."
A source close to the family told Life and Style that Bruce's dementia diagnosis has left him "not the same anymore", although his "spirit is still there".
They said: "He's being brave, but life is also scary for him at times. The public doesn't see the dark side of his illness. Fortunately, he has his family to support him through what they've come to accept as his final chapter."
