Bláthnaid Treacy has just gotten engaged – and her ring is divine

One of favourite RTÉ presenters has announced that she's getting married.

Bláthnaid Treacy and her longterm boyfriend Charlie Mooney are engaged. Bláthnaid took to Instagram to share the news, revealing that she said yes during a recent holiday in Mexico. "Mexico really was a trip we'll never forget," she captioned a photo of herself and Charlie. "So great to be home and celebrate with friends and family." The photo shows a beaming Bláthnaid showing off the newest addition to her left hand - a stunning vintage-style gold ring with a rectangular diamond. Well-wishers including James Patrice and Aoibhin Garrihy have shared their congratulations with the pair. The couple jetted into Mexico for Bláthnaid's brother Fiachra's wedding last month and stayed on for a four-week holiday of their own. Bray native Bláthnaid, 29, and jazz musician Charlie have been an item for several years. They split when the 2FM host was 22 but got back together and have been ever since. "He has a really good eye for clothes and he always looks great," she's previously said of him. "He’s a very handsome man." Bláthnaid got her start in the entertainment industry at a young age, making her acting debut at three months of age on RTÉ's Glenroe. Since then, she's fronted shows like TG4's O Tholg go Tolg and TwoTube and The National Lottery on RTÉ.
