Una Healy’s ex-husband Ben Foden is leaving America
Ben Foden is set to make a life-changing move after six years in America.
The sportsman has confirmed he is returning to the UK after moving to the USA in 2019.
The dad announced the news on social media this week.
Ben confirmed he has accepted a job as Director of Rugby at Scarborough College and Head Coach for Scarborough RFC.
He shared the news on Instagram:
“I’m excited to announce that I will be returning to the UK to take on the role of Director of Rugby at Scarborough College and Head Coach for Scarborough RFC, starting September 1st.
“After spending the last six years in the US, this is an incredible opportunity to reconnect with family and immerse myself once again in the rugby world.
“As I step into this role, my goal is to help drive the growth and development of Scarborough College’s rugby program, ensuring it competes at the highest level alongside the top schools in the region.”
This means the dad will now be closer to the two children he shares with singer Una Healy.
The pair have been co-parenting since they divorced, but his son Tadhg and daughter Aoife Belle have had to travel all the way to the States to see their dad.
Una Healy previously opened up about Ben’s plans to return to the UK.
“I get on with Ben as best I can for the sake of the children. I want them to love him and for him to be there as much as he can for them. It’s unfortunate that he lives so far away.”
“We don’t have the ‘every other weekend’ set-up. He sees them at Christmas and in the summer. But Ben’s considering moving back to the UK and I really hope he does. It would be better for everyone,” she said.
Una said Ben’s move “would be better for everyone.”
