Rugby player, Dave Kearney is set to become a dad for the first time. The sportsman and his wife Becca Mehigan announced her pregnancy this week.
The mum-to-be confirmed their joyous news on Instagram and confirmed she's halfway through her pregnancy already.
The couple posted a sweet photo of them holding a mini Chicago Cubs jersey up.
Alongside the snap, Becca wrote: "Halfway to meeting our little Chicago Cub."
The couple's famous friends quickly showered them with loving messages following the pregnancy announcement.
Doireann Garrihy said: "The most gorgeous news. So thrilled for you both xx"
Georgie Crawford added: "I didn’t think you could ever be any more stunning, but I was wrong! You look so so beautiful, I’m so happy for you both."
"Aww congratulations Becca! So exciting for you both," one added.
"I'm sobbing. Congratulations to you both," another said.
This is the couple's first child together.
Dave and Becca tied the knot in Portugal last year but marked another major milestone in January.
The pair left Dublin for Chicago after Dave signed with the Chicago Hounds after 14 years of playing for Leinster.
They confirmed the news on Instagram by sharing a photo of them leaving their Dublin home.
Becca wrote: "Let the adventure begin… Chicago and a snowstorm with highs of -16 await!"
