Awks… Nicki Minaj Calls Out Miley Cyrus During VMAs

We thought we knew what shade was… until we saw Nicki Minaj’s acceptance speech at last night’s MTV Video Music Awards. The singer took to the stage to collect the award for Best Hip-Hop Video but as well as saying her thanks, she called out host Miley Cyrus about some comments she made in a recent interview. Let’s just say the Anaconda star isn’t too impressed with Miley who responded by suggesting that her quotes were misinterpreted. Check out the awkward moment below…

Miley was reportedly asked about the feud between Nicki and Taylor Swift by The New York Times. She allegedly said: “What I read sounded very Nicki Minaj, which, if you know Nicki Minaj is not too kind… It’s not very polite. I think there’s a way you speak to people with openness and love. You don’t have to start this pop star against pop star war... “I know you can make it seem like, oh I just don’t understand because I’m a white pop star. I know the statistics. I know what’s going on in the world. But to be honest, I don’t think MTV did that on purpose.”
