Anna Geary heartbroken following the death of her younger brother

Anna Geary lost her younger brother last week

The presenter’s brother, Thomas Geary, sadly passed away at the age of 34.

According to reports, Thomas died following a short illness at University Hospital Limerick this month.

It is believed he passed away last Wednesday.

Tributes have been pouring in following Thomas’s sudden death.

One wrote: “Our deepest sympathies and condolences go to the whole Geary family in Cork on the sad loss of Thomas.”

Milford GAA Club said: “Sincere sympathy to Ellen Ann, Anna, Mary Ita, and the extended Geary family on Thomas’s untimely passing. Leaba i measc na Naoimh go raibh aige.”

Her brother is survived by his fiancée Mary Ita Murphy.

He is also survived by his mother Ellen, sister Anna, nephew Ronan, and his extended family.

The devastating loss comes after Anna’s father sadly passed away from cancer in 2022.

The family was completely heartbroken following the loss of her father Michael.

Anna Geary paid tribute to her beloved dad, Michael Geary on Instagram.

She said she misses their chats about GAA and the time they spent together.

“Here’s to you Dad. I hope you’re tucking into your customary (gigantic) Toblerone bar and watching The Sunday Game up above today, analysing everything.

“I miss our in-depth chats (sometimes debates) about GAA matches while stealing bits of your Toblerone when you weren’t looking. It’s amazing how the seemingly “insignificant” things end up being important memories,” she shared.

Her brother will be laid to rest this coming weekend in Cork.
