Angela Scanlon is reportedly taking part in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
The beloved Irish TV presenter will likely take part in the series this September. Insiders believe she will go far, but the BBC has not yet confirmed the official line-up.
A source told MailOnline, “It is hard to get the mix right for Strictly every year but producers think that Angela Scanlon is perfect for it.”
“She is really popular with the BBC’s viewers but unlike so many celebrities she doesn’t have a dancing background so Strictly fans will be able to go on a really enjoyable journey with her.”
Producers believe Angela is the perfect contestant for the show as her popularity continues to grow in the UK.
Irish viewers will also be thrilled to see one of our own taking part in the show.
“Every year the producers like to have a glamourous yet wholesome TV presenter as the fans love them,” the source added.
Earlier this week, sources claimed soap star Adam Thomas had also signed up for the show.
The actor, best known for his roles on Waterloo Road and Emmerdale, will be a huge hit with viewers.
A source told The Sun: “After two decades on screen and, as one of the Thomas brothers, he instantly brings a huge fanbase. That’s what Strictly bosses love.”
