“An Utter Disgrace”: OK Magazine Receive Backlash Over Tasteless Post-Baby and Kate Middleton Cover

OK Magazine is under fire today after they published what has been described as an “unacceptable”, “disgusting”, “vile” cover story of Kate Middleton and her “weight loss regime” following the birth of her son.

Less than two days after the Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to their new prince, the celebrity news magazine published their new cover of the magazine with the headline story titled:

“Kate’s Post Baby Weight Loss Regime”

The cover also states that they’re an exclusive interview with Kate’s weight loss trainer. It reads:

“She’s Super Fit – Her Stomach Will Shrink Right Back”

The controversial magazine cover, seen below, also has: “Your Exclusive Duchess Diet and Shape-Up Plan”

 

As you can imagine people were not happy about the content of the magazine and voiced their fury on the OK’s Facebook page when they changed their profile image to the cover in question.

One person wrote:

What an appalling front cover. Kate has just given birth and you are already banging on about weight loss and fitness regimes. Do women only exist to look good? She's a new mum who has just gone through pregnancy and birth. Why can't she be celebrated for that instead of being pressured into looking amazing within hours of giving birth. A disgraceful front cover for Kate and all women.

While another person said:

The DAY after she's given birth?! Really?! Yet again proving what a pathetic, pointless magazine you really are! God knows who is running your magazine if you think THIS is what the content should be 24 hours after the future King has been born. And no doubt it's a magazine run by a load of women, who should know better, not push these kind of b*llsh*t stories.

Their disgust was palpable:

Really? The baby is less than 48 hours old and all your nasty rag can do is bang on about her losing weight? No wonder so many women have weight issues. You are depicable.Selling this piece of trash off the back of our royal family. Creep back under your stone.

People are now looking for people to boycott the magazine issue.
