Actor Sam Shepard has reportedly been arrested on suspicion of drunken driving.
According to reports the 71-year-old was arrested outside La Choza restaurant in Santa Fe at approximately 7.45pm on Monday after a staff member alerted police about a possibly intoxicated driver.
Shepard is claimed to have told the authorities that he had two tequila drinks and was planning on driving home. He is also said to have declined a breath test and failed a field sobriety test.
The Bloodline star was released on Tuesday afternoon after posting bail.
