Actor James Rebhorn has died at the age of 65.
According to reports, he passed away at his home in New Jersey on Friday evening after a long battle with skin cancer.
His wife Rebecca reportedly told TMZ that he had been diagnosed with melanoma back in 1992. His condition is said to have worsened in recent weeks.
Rebhorn played the role of Frank Mathison in Homeland but also appeared in a number of successful films including Independence Day, Scent of a Woman and Meet the Parents.
He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Emma and Hannah.
