The Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder has shared an intimate snap of himself with new wife Nikki Reed.

Posting to Instagram, the 36-year-old paid tribute to Reed in a post which read: “Feet back on US soil aka… New York City. Dreaming of the Costa Rica rainforest. Thank you to this beautiful country: it’s land and its people. Thank you to this beautiful woman who makes every day a dream come true. Pura Vida”

Somerhalder married the Twilight actress in Santa Monica last month.
