English actress Michelle Keegan is reportedly set to star in a major book adaptation.
Reese Witherspoon is keen to cast the former Coronation Street star in the film version of her and Harlan Coben’s novel Gone Before Goodbye.
Witherspoon released her first novel with Harlan Coben in September.
Gone Before Goodbye is the unforgettable story of an indomitable woman, trapped in a conspiracy she helped create but can’t understand.
After her work in Fool Me Once, Witherspoon is eager to get Michelle Keegan involved in this project.
She played the lead role in the Netflix series Fool Me Once, which became an instant hit.
According to The Sun, "Harlan has been singing Michelle’s praises to Reese and she was keen to meet her.”
"They got on really well, and it was clear that Reese was really taken with Michelle. The plan is to turn the book into a film, and Michelle is their first choice to take on the role of the lead character, Maggie McCabe."
