Daniel Radcliffe has kicked off a celebrity reading of Harry Potter and we’re going back to Hogwarts

Time for a trip back to the Wizarding World.

Over the last few months, we've had a few cases of celebrities recording themselves reading books out loud or teachers recording themselves reading favourite books out loud. Now we have celebrities recording themselves reading THE favourite book of all time out loud - the one and only Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Several celebrities are taking part and will each be reading a chapter from the beloved children's fantasy story. And who better to kick off the readings than Harry Potter himself, otherwise known as Daniel Radcliffe. Yes, our very own Boy Who Lived has started us off reading the first chapter of the book called, well, "The Boy Who Lived", and the whole experience was magical.

For those of us who grew up hearing Daniel Radcliffe as the voice of Harry Potter, it honestly feels like the wizard has come right out of the book to tell us the story himself. You can check out the chapter-reading for yourself over on J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World blog. Other celebs that will be taking part in the readalong are Eddie Redmayne, Stephen Fry (our OG Harry Potter narrator), Dakota Fanning, David Beckham, Claudia Kim, Noma Dumezweni, and plenty more to be revealed as we move along the seventeen chapters. It'll be a magical experience for adults and kids alike and we're pulling out our own treasured copies to read along.
