Alicia Keys’ no make-up beauty routine is ridiculously cheap

Ever since Alicia Keys announced that she would no longer wear make-up she has received more attention that ever. While there are cynics among the comments, most people are inspired and encouraged by the singer's natural beauty. Make-up artist Dotti recently shared Alicia's skin-care routine with W Magazine. While Alicia no longer wears make-up she still looks after her skin of course, but we were surprised by how accessible her routine is. The first step is probably already sitting in your freezer: Ice.

"Right now, we’re doing a lot of ice work to tighten the skin and bring the blood to the surface," Dotti said. "It brings her skin to life, It practically makes her skin say, 'Hi. I love you.'” She continued.

While rubbing some ice on your face will do the trick, Dotti uses a jade roller over Alicia's skin. A jade roller is a little rolling device made of jade stone, which you rub on your face.  It has been used in Chinese medicine for centuries to aid the body's filtration organs and lymph system to expel toxins.  "If we’ve got time, I’ll put the pulp all over her face until it draws the heat out of the skin and brings the blood to the top," She says.

Alicia is also a huge fan of facial oils and uses skin masks to brighten up her face. Dotti also accentuates Alicia's best features such as her brows and freckles with her favourite Sephora products. So all in all, Alicia's routine is pretty simple, while her facials might cost a lot more than we'd ever spend, ice and cucumber are two things will definitely start using more.
