The ideal spot for a proposal in Ireland
Finding the right place for your proposal is incredibly tricky.
Deciding to pop the question is a major milestone, and you want it to go perfectly. We need to make sure we choose the right location, pick the right ring, and know exactly what we’re going to say.
It can be an incredibly intimidating, but beautiful moment, and it’s one you’ll never want to forget.
That’s why finding the right location is incredibly important, especially if you’re popping the question in Ireland.
Ireland is one of the most beautiful places when the weather is on our side, so finding a spot to propose here can be pretty easy.
Especially when there are so many incredible options across the Emerald Isle.
However, there is one in Donegal that has got to be the best of all.
According to a study by Diamonds Factory Ireland, Slieve League Cliffs in Donegal are one of the most beautiful places to propose in Ireland.
Located in south west Donegal, along a spectacular coastal driving route, are Ireland’s highest Sea Cliffs, Sliabh Liag. Tucked away in a part of Ireland most visitors overlook, these cliffs are actually higher than Moher’s, but with far fewer crowds.
You can either hike up the scenic trails on foot or take a shuttle bus from the bottom. Once you reach the top, you’ll be mesmerised by the pristine blue water and sweeping skies. It’s hard to imagine a more breathtaking backdrop for getting down on one knee.
Best time to go? Go on a clear or partly cloudy day for the best views.
