We’re not massive fans of the statement bootay (maybe this has something to do with it) and couldn’t believe our eyes when we came across the latest nail polish craze.
Paying homage to the big arses everywhere, let us introduce to you Bootie Babe, a line of nail varnishes that come in bum shaped bottles each appropriately named after bums!
And who would even want to use such a thing you ask? Well according to the line’s creator, former musician Mark O’Hara the idea came to him following the break up of his 15-piece band called SuperBooty. Back in happier times when the band were together, Mark sold a small selection of booty related merchandise and it was its success that propelled the entrepreneur to explore how he could develop the market and he has dreamed of expanding the line to include other cosmetics also.
Shake your booty!
If nothing else, the names of the colours will give you a laugh – Red Riding Hump, Hella Hiney, Whale of a Tail, Grind Behind, Uncanny Fanny and our personal fave Tears for Rears. Genius.
The line hasn’t exactly popular in the states (faulty bottles that leak, bad application brush and accusations that the product is sexist to name but a few) but O’Hara says that it’s really taken off in Brazil.
So, if you fancy getting in on the booty action, you can pre-order a bottle online at bootiebabe.com. Each polish costs around €9.25 ($12) a pop and the company even throw in free shipping!
