‘1 in 4 women in Europe have damaged hair.’
So says Vichy, on the release of their new Dercos Nourishing Reparative range. Honestly, our first reaction was, ‘only 1 in 4?’.
We put our hair through the mill on a daily basis, between our own styling choices and environmental stresses, so our crowning glory can often look a little less than, well, glorious.
The new Dercos Nourishing Reparative range has been designed with nutrition and repair in mind, within the highest tolerance textures for sensitive scalps.
“Hair” comes the science bit: The experts at Vichy have identified two components of healthy hair fibres: 90% Keratin and 5% Lipids. But, dry and damaged hair can occur when the fibre cuticle is damaged and exposes the cortex of the hair to aggressions. With the loss of keratin and lipids that ensues, hair can become rough, weak and brittle.
So here’s where the Dercos range comes in with some weighty claims…
Vichy are promising:
100% Efficacy – Hair health is restored after 10 shampoos
100% Pleasure – Light and creamy textures that are also rich and nourishing
100% Tolerance – Good news for sensitive souls (and scalps!), the products are paraben-free, coulourant-free, and hypoallergic.
Both the shampoo and conditioner retail at €10.50, which is not at all unreasonable for quality hair care. As of yet, the only claim we can stand over is the smell (it’s good!), but we’ll be testing out the shampoo and reporting back soon, and of course if you’ve tried it let us know your thoughts too.
