Ever since Anne Hathaway chopped her long brunette locks off to play Fantine in the upcoming and much anticipated movie version of Les Miserables she's been having a bit of a style re-birth.
Going for a super groomed masculine meets feminine aesthetic in Tom Ford, Anne’s look at the New York premier was pure old-school Hollywood glamour and didn't disappoint. And, it's actually a lot easier to re-create then you think. All you need are a few hard-working and long-lasting staples to get her look.
Base:
A flawless, slightly matte base is a must so go for a foundation that will smooth out imperfections, tame any shine on your t-zone and give skin a gorgeous luminous glow.

Avon Ideal Flawless Invisible Coverage Foundation, €7.99
Eyes:
A simple slick of subtle shimmer is all you need so go for a heavily pigmented formula and bring the shadow right up to your brow bone to really open out your eye.

Sleek Eye Dust in Innocence, €4
Nothing says old-school Hollywood like a thick winged line of eyeliner along your lash line. Go for a gel if you’re not confident with liquid and make the line as bold or subtle as you like.

Rimmel Gel Liner, €7.49
Fluttering dramatic lashes are at the heart of this look so if you need a little bit of extra help in this department, don’t be afraid to embrace the falsies!

Eyelure Katy Perry Lashes, €6.99
Lips:
Anne’s vampy red lips take centre stage so if you want to nail this look follow her lead and go for a dense, slightly dark shade of glossy red. This heavily pigmented lipgloss will last for hours and is practically smudge-proof!

Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipsticks, €25.92 available at Harvey Nichols Dundrum
