Europe’s ‘best kept secret’ where a pint will cost you less than €1

Nina McLaughlin

It’s time to get some flights booked

It’s that time of year again when those of us without a holiday booked are sat at home feeling FOMO as the days get colder and the nights draw in

However, not to worry – going away doesn’t have to cost a tonne of cash, and in fact one of Europe’s most beautiful spots happens to be one of its cheapest too!

Travellers have long loved this hidden gem, but it has recently been gaining popularity thanks to travel influencers who have shared their intel on the spot.

Bosnia and Herzegovina in Southeast Europe is an incredibly beautiful country, with stunning seaside towns and national parks.

One of the country’s most incredible spots is Kravica Waterfalls. The renowned attraction is undoubtedly one of the continent’s most beautiful places, and visitors can even swim in the fresh water below.

The Vjetrenica Cave is another magnet for tourists, and is perfect for adventure seekers, who can explore the four-mile-long cavern.

Krizevac mountain also attracts lots of visitors, as it was supposedly the location where the Virgin Mary appeared to six children with a message of prayer.

The four-hour hike up the mountain is well worth it, and rewards hikers with magnificent views.

Some might assume that such beautiful scenery would come with a hefty price tag, but thankfully this is not the case.

Unfortunately, there are no direct flights from Ireland to Bosnia and Herzegovina, but Skyscanner shows that you can fly via Luton for under €60.
