Smartphone batteries are the bane of most people's lives. Thankfully, they're getting better among newer models but the chore of charging them still exists... for now.
As Chinese tech company, Xiaomi, which launched in Ireland last year, is bringing out a new phone charger that can reportedly charge a smartphone to 100 percent battery in 17 minutes.
Xiaomi's chairman Bin Lin shared a video of the 100W charger getting a 4,000mAh battery phone to 100 percent in 17 minutes, with the phone reaching 40 percent in just five minutes, meaning even giving it a little juice would take less time than making a coffee. Dream.
The charger hasn't been released yet but it's expected to drop in Asia this year and then, hopefully, we'll see it over here soon after.
Imagine how handy this would be when you need a quick battery boost while on the go?
