Michelle Obama is an absolute lady.
Not just any lady either, the First Lady of the United States and during her time at the White House, she’s proved herself a class act.
Her speech at this week’s DNC convention was a major talking point as Michelle endorsed Hilary Clinton and spoke of how fantastic it would be to see a woman at the helm of the US.
If you haven’t watched the speech do so here and prepare to bow down to her.
Anyway, her outfit has generated a lot of conversation and it’s all down to the designer of her dress, Christian Siriano.
Style obsessed readers may be aware that Christian Siriano was the winner of reality TV show Project Runway back in 2007.
The interesting thing about Siriano and what sets him apart from other designers is the fact that he designs for all women.
Unlike some esteemed fashion names, Siriano has no stipulations when it comes to shape, size or age and was the designer to dress Ghostbusters star Leslie Jones recently when she said that no one would come up with a custom look for her.
Now that's how you do it! Simple, elegant, and chic!! @Lesdoggg at the premiere of #Ghostbusters wearing Siriano! pic.twitter.com/gz3CmGFGaL

When chatting with Vanessa Friedman of The New York Times recently, Siriano said that he doesn’t think “anyone should be excluded from having a beautiful dress”.
Much has been made of the fact that for her one of her last appearances as First Lady, Michelle chose a designer that is so vocal about empowering women.
A simple cut and in that strong royal blue which is so symbolic of the Democratic party.
Don’t go, Michelle, PLEASE.
