When it comes to jeans, we’re big fans of a slouchy boyfriend fit but that might all be about to change thanks to ‘girlfriend’ jeans.
They’ve been around for a little while now but they’re experiencing a surge in popularity at the moment and we are LOVING them.
Similar to boyfriend, they’re straight-legged but instead of a baggy style, they’re slim-fitting and sit higher on the hip.

Topshop jeans buyer Keda Rich chatted to Marie Claire and explained that the ‘girlfriend’ fit is a more feminine version of the ‘boyfriend’ jean.
“It’s a more classic fit, tighter and higher on the hip, with a tapered slim straight leg. Made from more ridged denim, the style is more authentic and offers a flattering shape” said Rich.
