The End Of An Era: Gisele Bids Farewell To The Catwalk

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen has bid farewell to the catwalk this week after walking her final runway in Sao Paulo, Brazil on Wednesday. Gisele, who was cited as the world’s highest paid model in the Forbes’ rankings in 2014, said that it was her last walk down the catwalk following a hugely successful 20-year-career. Models pay tribute to Gisele in Sao Paulo. She walked for Sao Paolo Fashion Week and made three appearances, opening the show for Colcci, a Brazilian streetwear label. The 34-year-old has stated that she wants to spend more time with her family. However, she added that she will continue to work in the fashion industry and also designs her own fashion lines including lingerie.

“Today after 20 years in the industry, it is a privilege to be doing my last fashion show by choice and yet still be working in other facets of the business,” she wrote on Instagram. “I am grateful that at 14, I was given the opportunity to start this journey.”
