Bridal Fashion Week 2017 has coined a number of fab trends, including these designs adorned with oversized bows, but there’s one that we really aren’t convinced of.
It’s about taking the veil and making it centre stage, rather than focusing on the dress itself, and it’s definitely not something everyone will like.
NYC-based Alon Livne is all about this trend and designed HUGE white hats as part of his bridal collection Fall 2017.

The hats were paired with pants rather than dresses and while I definitely like the chic Parisian vibe, I’m really not sure if it will catch on.
Smaller hats, with an added veil effect, feature in Viktor and Rolf’s collection of wedding dresses for 2017, entitled Mariage.

You can see the bridal line in full here but let’s just take a moment for the hats themselves, pictured below.
Again, these are quirky and unusual, so if you want to stand out on your wedding day, this is one way to do it.
I’ll be interested to see if any brides-to-be rock this trend in the coming months…
