The cold-shoulder effect.
If there’s one trend that made it big in 2016, it was the cold-shoulder top and it seems this particular style has translated to bridal wear too.
If you’re getting married in spring/summer, this is definitely one style worth considering because it’s on trend and offers something different to the traditional wedding dress.
While it won’t be for everyone, it will please the bride who wants a low-key, effortless yet undeniably beautiful look.
Brides.com has acknowledged the fact that the off-the-shoulder wedding dress was big news for spring summer 2016 but proved its longevity when the trend continued into autumn winter.
Some of the designers getting on board with the boho vibe include Reem Acra, Sachin and Bibi (who literally OWN the trend right now) and Maggie Sotero, all of whom put forward different versions of the style.
There’s a number of variations on the trend including both cold-shoulder options and off-the shoulder and this is one trend that shows no sign of waning.
I’ve selected a few FAB designs below and honestly, this is the perfect way to marry both high-fashion and wearability.
Sachin and Bibi: lace and off-the-shoulder, YES.
ANOTHER Sachin and Bibi beauty: look at those bows.
