They’re not as flashy as the footballers or as groomed as the rugby guys, but here at Her.ie Towers we have a LOT of time for the men of the GAA. These often unsung and always unpaid heroes are warriors on the pitch, but they look just as good out of their jerseys and shorts. Don’t be filthy, we meant in other clothing.
In our Style Champion feature in association with JD Sports, we’ll have a look at a few of the best dressed men in sport, starting with the mammy’s favourite – the men of the GAA. You’re welcome.

It’s well known that this sometimes cranky Kerry-man fancies himself as a bit of a style supremo. The teacher-turned-blogger is never shy about sharing his thoughts on style with the world, and whether you love him or hate him, you have to admit he knows his stuff.
Bernard Brogan
This man knows what he’s talking about, having even hosted a few sartorial events in his time, including one with our bros at JOE.ie. Anyone who can rock red pants and not look like a member of One Direction is alright by us.
Shane O’Donnell
The man who tweets under the moniker Town Hurler had the whole town and country talking last September when he played a blinder in the All-Ireland hurling final, helping Clare to their first Senior Hurling title since 1995. The Banner county boy became an overnight superstar, and those boy band looks didn’t hurt the cause one bit. His style is mostly signature 19-year-old… but he’s able to turn on the charm in a suit too, as we saw when he appeared on the Late Late Show and women across the land swooned. What a cutie.
