Spring Summer ’14 Trend Overview: Part Two

What to look out for this season.

Cathy Donohue

Last week we started our trend forecast for spring summer 2014 detailing pastels, all-white looks and sports luxe…this week it’s time for part two.

It can be hard to shop for spring when the weather is still stuck in winter mode but there’s no harm in having a look to see what’s available and how the introduction of one or two pieces can help you to update your look completely.

Daisy Love

Floral print is always a big deal regardless of the season, bright punchy prints for spring and muted palettes for winter. This season, daisy patterned pieces are in the limelight. We are obsessed with the intricate patterns on this white bag from Topshop £38 (€46) and this cami top, €26 from River Island is also bang on trend.

Safari Style
Jungle influenced looks and safari themed patterns are everywhere this season, while it might be a little early to embrace this trend it’s nice to remind ourselves that summer isn’t too far away. We love this shirt and dress, both  €33 from River Island.

Checklist

Checks and gingham are a popular trend for spring summer ’14. Although it’s not a look that’s easily worn from head to toe, making one piece the center of your outfit is advisable such as these checked trousers, £42 €51) from Topshop. This top from Penneys is a steal at only €11 so make sure to keep an eye out for it.
