Seven Pieces To Update Your Jewellery Wardrobe

Fellow magpies, come and see.

Cathy Donohue

Okay, so as much as we hate to say it, the festive season is almost over.

In order to distract ourselves, we’re concentrating on pretty sparkly things and have selected a few of our favourites pieces.

Jewellery is a very simple way to transform a simple outfit and the below edit includes statement jewels and delicate pieces.

Swarovski – Duo Star Bangle

This brand can always be relied on for stunning statement jewels, ideal for a big night out.

However, we’re also loving some of the dainty styles, case in point this pretty star Swarovski encrusted bangle (€99).

Ideal for the current layering trend, you can mix and match it with various bangles and bracelets.

Stella & Dot – ICON Convertible watch collection

After wowing us with jewellery and accessories, S&D recently introduced the ICON Convertible watch collection (€148).

Pretty and practical, our favourite feature is the interchangeable straps, which means you’ll never get bored of the same style.

Chupi – Dew Drop In The Wild

Chupi takes her inspiration from wild and natural things, which can be seen throughout her handiwork.

Her ‘Dew Drop in the Wild’ ring is instantly recognisable and you can have a bespoke piece made, with the jewel of your choice.

Way to feel like a princess.

The above ring is priced at €289 but there’s a huge range to choose from.

Newbridge – Ti Amo Cuff

Naomi Campbell is currently fronting the Kildare-based company and you could say they’ve had somewhat of a revamp.

The Ti Amo collection is stunning and this rose gold cuff (€55) is our favourite pick.

Pandora – Pearl earring & necklace set

If ever you’re stuck for what jewellery to wear, pearls are always a good call.

They’re feminine and elegant and the little bow detail on these pieces (€149 for the set) is a modern touch for a classic gem.

They’re also simple enough to be worn on a daily basis which ensures you’ll get value for money.

Swatch – Masterglass

Rose gold is having a moment and if you haven’t invested yet, we recommend you do so immediately.

A timepiece is always a good idea because you can tell yourself it’s a sensible, guilt-free purchase.

The Masterglass is part of Swatch’s Aprés-Ski collection and it’s a beauty. Priced at €249, it will soon pay for itself once you apply the cost per wear tactic.

Alex & Ani – Enigma Wrap Rich Wine

This beaded bangle (€49) is the perfect choice of jewellery for this time of year.

It’s the colour of mulled wine and we see it featuring in more than a few Instagram posts.

This piece is from Alex & Ani’s Retro Glam collection and we think it’s a perfect winter accessory.
